Week 50. FIFTY!

First off, I want to thank everyone who posted last week. I am SO glad that I have been able to inspire you in one way or another. It makes my heart happy 🙂

Like I mentioned last week, the fact that I can inspire and motivate you as the reader, inspires me to keep going, try harder, and never give up!

Last week was a good week. I fell back into a good routine with working out, and making better food choices. I didn’t fall back on any excuses. When I said I was going to do something, I stuck with it – no matter how bad I wanted to dig into chocolate and ice cream some days. I did however gain 2.9lbs. Not something I am thrilled about, but it happens. I’m not going to beat myself up over it. I did think that last weeks weigh-in seemed awfully low, so it could have something to do with water weight or some other weird body occurrence. Just means I need to stay mindful this week.

Now on to the FUN part of the blog post today – that $100 Sport Chek gift certificate I will be giving to one of you! Here is what you need to do now:

Step 1 ~ Tell me the goals you set for yourself over the past week. Have you stuck with them?

Step 2 ~ Have you decided what you would use your $100 Sport Chek gift card for? I think I would get more outdoor gear for winter. Some snow pants maybe? Some lightweight warm running gear? It’s getting COLD out there.

Leave your answers in a comment below. Next Monday I will be announcing the winner. Because I am loving everyone’s answers so far, I am going to do a random draw. You all have a pretty good chance though – just make sure that you have followed all the directions from last weeks, and this weeks post. And it’s not too late to enter (See last weeks post HERE).

I can’t wait to hear what everyone has to say! For now, I wish you all a wonderful week. Get up, get out, and NO EXCUSES!! 😉

  1. I’d like to say I made all these great goals and am sticking to them, but honestly I haven’t. My wedding is Saturday and the only goal I have is to not stress about it! Stress leads to stress eating for me. After the wedding I mean business! I have my first ever pole performance in January and I have a month to train my ass off (literally and figuratively) I need to start tracking again, it’s hard when I have no one to be accountable to except myself. If I won I’d probably spend it on pole clothes, or new running shoes. I’d like to take advantage of my treadmill over the winter months but I don’t really have the proper footwear for it. Hopefully I get my butt in gear so I can wear the skinny jeans I bought out for my birthday in February!

  2. My goal this week was pretty simple – stay under my calorie goal each day and drink enough water each day. I did well with the calorie goal, but had a harder time with the water.

I’ve been trying a lot of different fitness activities lately, and I’ve realized that I really do not have the proper footwear. I have running shoes, but those are absolutely no good for any kind of aerobic-type things that I’ve been trying. I didn’t think I would notice a difference, but I totally do, so the $100 would definitely be put towards a snazzy pair of cross trainers.

  3. I’d use it for new running shoes!

Training to run my first Half marathon in the early spring!

  4. I’m burning through runners! I would get a new pair of runners for sure!!! 🙂

  5. Oh no!!!!!!!!! I hope I’m not too late! It has been a crazy week of sickness in our house, including bronchitis for me…so I haven’t had a chance to post until now.

The goals I have decided on are:
    1. Get back to running 2x/week, 5-7km distances each time, gradually increasing distance. (I will work on speed later in the year!)
    2. Sign up for a 10 k run in April.
    3. Start swimming 1x/week…looking for a Masters swimming group if anyone knows of one.
    4. Complete a Try-a-Tri in the Fall of 2013!

Needless to say, since I have been sick, I’ve had a slow start on my goals…I guess that kind of sounds like an excuse doesn’t it??!! Onward and upward!

If I win the gift certificate I will put it towards outdoor running gear so that I can keep up with my goals throughout the winter and be ready for the 10K in April 🙂

Hope this post isn’t too late!
Good luck to everyone and Happy Weekend

    Jillian 🙂

  6. i’ve been silently cheering you on from afar, and you’ve accomplished so much! so congrats to you. keep up the great work.

my goals for this past week, which i fell short of, were to finish wrapping presents and make a list of any outstanding purchases or things to make for the big day. i’m back on track now that i have some scotch tape!

i used to run. a lot. i ran a marathon years ago, but because i crossed it off my life list, i stopped running. i miss it. my goals for the new year include lots more me time, possibly including a 5 or 10k run. i think signing up for one is motivation to get moving. if i won, i’d definitely put it towards some new kicks for running! need to get back out there!

thanks so much, what a great giveaway!

  7. My goal this week was to workout 3 times this week and I did it! Had a hard time walking a few days after but it was worth it!

If I won I might buy a pair of those toe shoes you are always raving about. My runners are getting shabby.

  8. Well my goals were small but I stuck to them. #1 Finish a whole package of baby spinach before it exspires (which is a lot considering its just the girls and I that will eat it lol) #2 Work on my marriage. Long story but when the relationship with the hubby is going well the ice cream stays in the freezer. Yup thats right Im totally an emotional eater. We have had a rough year and its taken a lot of hard work and tons of talking(which im good at) and listening (sometimes not as good at) to finally move forward. After really listening this week I truly think we are on the right track now.

Im still hoping for a new pair of running shoes 😉
