How to put a positive spin, on a bad start to the day

Ever have one of those mornings that start wrong. Hubby is working, you have no plans so you rack your brain for something to do. You put out an APB to your mom friends to see who is up for a get together or walk. You decide that a walk around the market is a great idea – kill two birds with one stone – get some fresh produce, and burn some calories walking.

You pack up your bag, bundle the kids, and lock the door behind you. And then you see the flat tire.

Good thing you just renewed CAA. You drag your very unwilling, upset and confused children back into the house, and make the phone call that will help put your day on track. And than you see this:

Your 20 month old got into a sample of diaper cream. You have a big mess to clean up, and your almost in tears at this point until you look at the pictures you just took, and you laugh.

You will now forever have these laugh worthy photos you can look back on whenever your day goes awry, and think about how lucky you are to have these mischievous little munchkins in your life.

Just laugh.

  1. I love your sense of humour Karen! Some days are just like that and I struggle sometimes to remember to breathe and to laugh. I hope the rest of the day goes better for you.

  2. Oh Karen, you made me laugh. And now customers are looking at me strangely.

  3. Too cute! I had that kind of morning on Thursday… I actually walked out of the house with two different shoes on! Thankfully I realized it before I drove to work. It’s one thing after another it seems. Hope you had a better day in the end!

  4. I love this post and isnt’ this what it is all about!
