Pinterest Monday – Bee-ing Crafty with the boys!

I thought that for this Pinterest Monday, I would do something that involved the boys. We have had a very confined boring weekend, with our house renovations in full force and electrical work being done. As soon as I saw this Pin, I knew that it would be something H would love, and easy for both boys.

What you need:

-Canvas or Paper (I got a pack of two small canvases at the Dollar Store for $1)
-Non-Toxic Paint in Yellow, Black and White
-Paint Brushes
-Wipes, Paper towels or washcloths (it will get a bit messy!)

Step 1- Get set up in an area that is easy to clean, we used the kitchen floor. Paint the bottom of your child’s foot with the non-toxic paint, and then have them press their foot down onto the canvas or paper.

(We painted Q’s while in his highchair, and did both of his feet since they would both fit onto the canvas)

Step 2: Help your child paint on some black stripes onto the body of the bee.

Step 3: Dip their finger into the white paint, and add the Bee’s eyes to the heel of the foot.

Step 4: Finish it off for them by adding black to the eyes, a mouth, some antenna’s and wings.

Step 5: Let dry, and display for all to see!

We had a lot of fun with this little project, I hope you do too if you decide to try it!!
