Monica and I have been talking about starting a blog for some time. We hope to share great idea’s for moms and their families as well as expose you to some wonderful people we know in the baby and toddler industry. We plan to post some great snack and meal ideas, crafts you can do with your kids, and much much more.
What better way to start our blog by talking about something that is dear to both of our hearts; The Ronald McDonald House of Hamilton
As many of you know, we donate part of our door proceeds for the Hamilton Baby Expo to the RMH of Hamilton. While donations are ever so helpful, there are also many ways you can help out with RMH. One of the volunteer programs that they offer is their ‘Home for Dinner’ program, which is what we did last night.
Many of the families who stay at the house spend most of their time with their sick children at the Hospital. Getting a home cooked meal is something they really look forward to. The Home for Dinner program allows families or groups to go in on their scheduled dates to cook for the families. Last night we cooked a Vegetarian Chilly, Sweet Potato corn bread, and provided a Salad and some fruit for dessert (Big thanks to Lara from HypnoBirthing Hamilton for supplying the food for last night) There are so many ways you can help out the RMH through donations or volunteering. Visit their website to see how you can help! www.RMHHamilton.ca
